The Hassayampa Country Club (now the Capital Canyon Club) goes back to 1919 and was highly-esteemed by Arizona’s elite. In 1939, a new and improved clubhouse boasted a much bigger clubhouse building, tennis courts, an Olympic-sized swimming pool, locker rooms and a pro-shop. Between 1940 and 1945, 14 homes were built in Hassayampa with a desire to provide families the opportunity to enjoy the getaway involving rounds of golf for the adults and fun summer amenities for the children. The golf course again was closed in 1969 and remained closed for 30 years until the clubhouse was purchased by Desert Troon Development. Today, Capital Canyon Club creates a place that has reestablished itself as one of the most desirable places to live, play, and visit, with a sophistication and elegance is not matched by many.
The Hassayampa Village Community is comprised of 9 small subdivisions of Site Built Single Family homes and Condominiums within the area that follow the lay of the 18-hole golf course. However, the surrounding area is locally referred to as “Hassayampa” because all other adjacent communities and subdivisions help uphold the neighborhood aesthetics, quality, and elegant uniformity.
The Hassayampa Village Community is undoubtedly one of the most majestic and luxurious residential subdivisions in the entire Prescott area.
